It’s a great option for notorious memory hogs like video and image, but not without risks.

Chris Cali, CEO of DevSpark

From 2007 to 2011, Chris was the CEO and Co-founder of Panvidea, Inc., an industry leader in providing enterprise‐quality video processing and distribution services to the media & entertainment industry. Its customers included Fox Broadcasting Company, the Metropolitan Opera, A&E Television Networks and Getty Images. Panvidea was sold to T3Media (formerly Thought Equity Motion) in 2011.
David Rocamora, VP Development Operations, Control Group
David Rocamora manages the team responsible for building and supporting infrastructure for custom developed software and complex enterprise systems. He focuses on helping businesses move from inefficient and costly IT methods to lightweight, flexible approaches. He is an experienced systems administrator specializing in cloud technologies, UNIX and Linux-based systems. He has architected diverse enterprise systems for start-ups and Fortune 500 companies alike. David is currently earning a Masters degree in technology management at Columbia University.
Jonathan Dahl, VP of Encoding Services, Brightcove
Jonathan Dahl is the Vice President of Encoding Services at Brightcove, where he is responsible for leading product and strategy for the Zencoder business. Jonathan joined Brightcove following the company’s acquisition of cloud-based video encoding pioneer Zencoder, where he was a co-founder and served as CEO. Before Zencoder, Jonathan managed a software development agency, blogged about Ruby development, and wrote a Master's thesis on philosophy and theology.
Sandip Chaudhari, CTO, Krossover
Sandip leads Krossover's development after nearly a decade of experience in various roles at Bloomberg LP, most recently as a product security lead. Previously, Sandip was the founder of Infovorx Inc which was acquired by businessyantra.com. Sandip was also the co-founder of Immense LLC, which was one of the first ad platforms for streaming videos, and was folded into blip.tv. Sandip has also published and presented technical papers on various computer science related topics. Sandip holds a Masters in Computer Science from Syracuse University, and a Bachelors in Engineering from Sanjeevani's College of Engineering, University of Pune, India.
Rose Klimovich, Professor, Manhattan College
Rose Klimovich is a professor, technology consultant and blogger. She teaches marketing and management at Manhattan College and is on the Board of Directors at the Women’s Venture Fund.
Previously, Rose was the Vice President of product management and product marketing at Telx where she created the Telx business strategy and developed the investment plan for new products and services in areas of colocation, cloud, Ethernet exchange, internet and telepresence video. Prior to this, Rose was VP of Business Strategy at AT&T where she led strategy development, and evaluation and investment in new markets and technologies. Rose has more than 20 years of experience and achievement in building, scaling and managing Internet, content distribution, VPN and data businesses.
