Jacob Hennessey-Rubin - Co-Founder & Executive Director, New York Robotics Network
After a life in design and as a furniture maker, Jacob worked for the Autodesk Technology Centers developing global programs for customer engagement, business development and partnerships. After relocating to New York, Jacob further focused his efforts on supporting emerging technologies in manufacturing by joining ITAC — the NYC MEP — followed by a startup, building an advanced control platform for robotics. The work at the robotics startup led to the co-founding of the New York Robotics Network, a non-profit robotics cluster, powering the robotics ecosystem throughout the New York region.
See you all on October 14!

Rob DeDomenico, Founder
Rob DeDomenico is a retired nuclear power professional and six-year navy veteran submarine reactor operator. His interest in robotics is singly focused on creating a new utility system for "containerized parcel", as CargoFish, LLC. His background includes farm equipment operation, model railroading, slot cars, custom bicycle creations, automobile maintenance, sailing, windsurfing, hang gliding, skiing, boating, and radio-controlled cars. Most recently he has taken up precision machining (as necessary to build his new system.) He is funded through the NJEDA/CSIT Clean Tech Seed Grant program, and preparing for live technology demonstration in May of 2025, at the NYC Fleet Show in Corona Flushing Meadows Park, Queens.
About Cargo Fish
CargoFish is a groundbreaking logistics company developing an innovative, miniature subway-like transport system designed to efficiently and sustainably move goods within urban environments. Utilizing a network of 8-inch diameter tunnels and self-propelled, lightweight vehicles, CargoFish dramatically reduces energy consumption and increases delivery speed. By merging principles of biology and digital networking, CargoFish aims to create a "physical internet" for neighborhoods, revolutionizing the way goods are transported and enhancing local commerce.

About Silana
Silana is revolutionizing the billion-dollar fashion industry in a sustainable way. They have developed the very first robot that fully automates the outdated, manual and cost-intensive sewing process. This enables the automation of the entire manufacturing process, from the roll of fabric to the finished garment – without a single human intervention. They leverage AI in their computer vision system used for quality control of the individual processing steps. This technological innovation means that clothing can be produced sustainably, quickly and cost-effectively in high-wage countries on a regional basis. They have a working prototype for undershirts and have sold the first pilot for implementation at the end of 2024.
About Standard Bots
Standard Bots is revolutionizing robotic automation by simplifying programming through "programming by demonstration," allowing users to train robots by performing tasks, rather than coding. Their advanced AI enables robots to learn and adapt in real-time, making them versatile for manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and more. The StandardBots R01 robot is proudly designed and assembled at their factory on Long Island, NY. They emphasize domestic manufacturing, support the on-shoring movement, and are setting new standards in the robotics industry while making automation accessible and user-friendly.
