Colleen is currently building a world class payments platform empowering Airbnb hosts and guests to exchange billions of dollars in over 191 countries and 70 currencies. At Airbnb, she also worked on growing the Experiences business which consists of activities hosted by local experts. Before Airbnb, Colleen worked with several different companies and projects, large and small, and across various industries, learning that the path to developing exciting products and highly productive teams always looks different. When not thinking about prioritization, scale and growth problems, or creative new opportunities, Colleen enjoys cooking and eating good food, biking, plants, and traveling (she has lived overseas twice). Colleen also runs a small fair trade business designing and importing jewelry made from seeds sustainably harvested from the rainforests of Ecuador, La Pucara Jewelry Collections.

Courtney Brand is the Founder and CEO of thelighthouse. Prior to thelighthouse, she worked as a Management Consultant for 5 years in New York, Shanghai, and Beijing, selling and delivering work to top clients including Alibaba, Apple, Mercedes, Porsche, and Danone. After working for two years in New York, Courtney was transferred to PwC’s Shanghai office to help launch the firm’s new digital and innovation consulting practice in China which became the second highest revenue-generating team. As the Founder and CEO of thelighthouse, she is working to empower professionals with the network, insights, and support to thrive in their ever-changing careers and the fast changing world of work. She speaks Mandarin Chinese and French and graduated from Georgetown University.
