About Our Panel

William Lieberman, Founder & Managing Partner, The CEO's Right Hand

William is an experienced entrepreneur, owner/operator and consultant to Founders, CEOs and management teams. He founded his latest venture, The CEO’s Right Hand, as a strategic finance advisory firm that focuses on helping early- to mid-size companies to scale their business. Given his various leadership roles over the last 20 years, serving employees, consultants, investors, vendors, and banker, he has a demonstrated ability to guide management teams and implement strategies that provide end-to-end solutions for transformation and growth.

Prior to launching The CEO’s Right Hand, he was the President & CFO for Interactive Donor where he was responsible for the fiscal management and overall operations of the organization. Prior to joining iDonor, William was the Co-Founder, Chairman, CEO and CFO of Xtiva Financial Systems, a $10 million (revenue) B2B enterprise software company. Earlier in his career, he was COO/CFO at Capital Markets Research/CMR Technologies where he was responsible for the finance and operations of the investment, consulting and technology business units. He also spent 3 years on Wall Street in investment banking / M&A.

William received dual Masters degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science from UCLA. He received his B.S. in Computer Engineering from UC San Diego.

Eric Menke, Partner, Growth Capital

Eric Menke shares over 25 years of investor, advisor and management experience with specific expertise in channel strategies, brand repositioning, logistics, industrial manufacturing and product innovation.

Prior to founding Growth Capital Management, Mr. Menke was one of the founding partners of Champlain Capital, a $148 million private equity fund focused on making private equity and growth capital investments in companies in the lower middle-market. In that role, Mr. Menke made numerous investments in the industrial, consumer products, and retail services sectors. Prior to founding Champlain Capital, Mr. Menke pursued and consummated acquisitions of small market companies on a deal-by-deal basis. Mr. Menke began his career at the investment banking firm of Kidder Peabody & company.

As Advisor of The CEO’s Right Hand firm, Eric provides strategic advisory services in change management, financial performance, mergers and acquisitions (including preparing companies for sale), marketing, business restructuring, and human resources, with an emphasis on managing risks and cost, to assist organizations in improving productivity, overall performance, and accelerate their growth.

Mr. Menke was awarded a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg Graduate school of Business at Northwestern University. He graduated, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California.

John Pennett, Partner in charge of Technology and Life Science practice at EisnerAmper LLP

John Pennett is the Partner-in-Charge of the Life Sciences Group and Technology Group. He has 30 years of public accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on public and private life science and technology companies. John is a frequent writer and speaker on topics related to issues impacting businesses in the life sciences and technology space. He is the publisher of Catalyst, a magazine focused solely on issues related to life sciences and pharmaceutical companies. John supports entrepreneurial organizations around the country with content and program development, and serves as a mentor to several early-stage companies.

John has led the accounting, auditing and strategic advisory work for more than a hundred IPOs, private financing and mergers and acquisitions with an aggregate valuation in excess of $1 billion. In addition, he has served as the interim lead of the firm’s Risk Advisory Practice, leading internal audit, contract compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley implementation and testing. John previously worked as an Audit Partner for an international accounting and consulting firm.
