Career Coach, General Assembly

I am a dedicated career development professional with over 5 years of experience assisting students and job seekers as they begin or reimagine their careers.I combine my recruiting and hiring experience to utilize insight into hiring practices to support individuals looking to begin or change their career journeys. My approach is straight forward and designed to help move past some of the barriers and gatekeeping of "professionalism".I view every step of the application and interview process as a chance for someone to tell the story of why they are making this choice for their career and how they will bring something unique to the role.

I have studied theatre, poetry, and literature.I have always been passionate about folklore and mythology because I am interested in the ways humans tell their stories. Because of this interest in story telling and in the power of language I am passionate about helping people shape their unique narratives and lean into their originality to find the next step in their careers. I approach each job search as an experience as individual as the people I work with and personalize the process of collaborating in order to support them as they make those next steps in their career paths.
