Benjamin Tweel, Senior Cyber Crime Specialist, Bank of America

Benjamin Tweel is a Senior Cyber Crime Specialist in Bank of America’s Global Information Security (GIS) team and is currently working with clients to strengthen financial cyber security through best practices, education and awareness. 

Benjamin’s past responsibilities have included roles in incident response, vulnerability testing and remediation, platform security design and review, and vendor contract security reviews, all the while championing strong cyber security principles and practices to executive teams.

Benjamin joined Bank of America in 2011 where he developed and managed tools and process improvements across multiple information security teams. His work with data platforms evolved security in Bank of America, Business Banking, Merrill and Private Bank by ensuring client data protection keeps pace with current security trends. He is has been a Senior Leader for Global Technology and Operations for GIS in the Chicago market for the past 4 years.

Benjamin has been in the technology industry for over 25 years. Throughout his career he has taken on a spectrum of roles, from in-house sales to technical sales, software entrepreneur to Chief Information Officer. 

Benjamin is passionate about Diversity and Inclusion and has worked with leaders in the Chicago market to strengthen partnerships with such groups as YearUp, Women in Technology and Girls Who Code. Benjamin lives in Chicago with his lovely wife and daughter.
