While working in VC, Melanie witnessed the frequent struggles founders and fund managers faced in effectively positioning themselves for fundraising. Amy holds a B.A. in Psychology and Legal Studies from UC Berkeley. Starting her career at OpenTable, she swiftly excelled and played a pivotal role in its growth toward a successful 2009 IPO. She co-founded MEI New York, a fashion startup featured in top publications like Women's Wear Daily and picked up by Gilt and Shopbop. Recruited by Google, she spent six years spearheading groundbreaking projects, including Google Offers and the expansion of Google Pay into EMEA. Currently, Amy is a revered leadership coach and speaker, focusing on building high-performing, emotionally intelligent teams.
An advocate for women, immigrants, and BIPOC communities, she integrates her mindfulness practice into her professional ethos. Amy is also a certified yoga instructor, a croissant enthusiast, and has traveled to 47 countries. Her mantra, "serve from essence," underscores her life's mission to promote liberation and empowerment.
