On November 3rd, 6-8PM, join us at Union Square Ventures for a panel discussion for early-stage entrepreneurs: "Building & Managing an Early-Stage Engineering Team" with Orna Albus (Extend) Arjun Bhatnagar (Cloaked) and Austin Woolridge (Players' Lounge).
Other perks? Cocktails and networking with other amazing entrepreneurs based in NYC!
For the non-technical among us, from day 1, we're wondering about whether it might make sense to work with outsourced teams and consultants till we "learn more" about the product. Either direction we choose, we have to figure what qualities and skills we need in an early-stage lead developer for our particular mission, product and team. And technical and non-technical founders alike face the challenges of building an engineer team, from planning and recruiting to creating an environment in which their team will thrive.
Join us for a panel discussion on November 3rd as we cover what it takes to build an engineering team from 1, to 10, to 30+. We’ll discuss:
- Prioritizing types of technical talent you need
- Planning team roles and growth
- Sourcing candidates and conducting technical interviews
- Managing your engineering team
- Compensating your team
- Outsourcing options
