Al Titone was named district director for the U.S. Small Business Administration's New Jersey district office on March 28, 2011. He is responsible for directing SBA’s efforts to assist over 800,000 small businesses in New Jersey with the agency’s financial, contracting, and business development programs. Additionally, he has oversight responsibilities for twelve Small Business Development Centers administered by Rutgers University, two SBA funded Women’s Business Centers and nine chapters of SCORE.
Al started with the SBA in January 0f 2009 as Branch Manager then as Deputy Director in NY before coming to NJ in March of 2011. Prior to entering government service, Al served in various manager and leadership roles in the both non-profit and for profit private sector, as well as having had two businesses of his own.
Gina Tedesco is an active investor, serial entrepreneur, professor and mentor. Currently managing member of Amala Ventures, a venture firm investing in disruptive technology in the USA and Brazil, her career of over 30 years includes co-founding 3 successful start-up ventures, overseas postings in finance and M&A with a global pharmaceutical company and industry expertise in pharmaceuticals, biotech, and technology.
Gina is a member and board member of Jumpstart NJ Angel Network and a member of Golden Seeds. She also serves on the board of two private companies and is an Advisory Board Member of the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship. In addition, she is an Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is currently teaching various online courses in entrepreneurship.
