Special programs
The New York Technology Council runs several special programs to address issues of specific interest to our members. Groups meet on a regular basis and meetings are free to NYTECH members. Meeting notices are posted on our Events page.
- Cloud Computing - led by Donn Morrill, our Cloud Computing program deals with topics surrounding software-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service, virtualization and other technologies related to cloud computing.
- Legal - led by Paul Ellis of Scarola Ellis LLP, the legal program addresses legal issues associated with forming, financing and operating small to mid-sized technology businesses.
- Accounting - led by Mike Lopez of Amper, Politziner & Mattia, the accounting program engages in topics related to start-up financing, company growth, and regulatory issues on organizational finance.
- Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics - led by Jon M. Deutsch, President of the tri-state chapter of The Data Warehouse Institute, this program will explore topics on the application of BI and analytics from a business-focused, results-oriented perspective.
- Media and Advertising - led by Tom Penichter, President of TGP Associates, and Deborah Brown, Managing Director of Peppercom, the media & advertising program will foster discussion in the New York media industry around technology, content, advertising, analytics and emerging channels.
- International - led by Erik Grimmelmann, of Triana Group, our international program explores topics of interest to both domestic companies interested doing business in foreign countries and overseas companies wishing to do business in New York.
