Special Interest Groups
The New York Technology Council runs several special interest groups (SIGs) to address issues of specific interest to our members. Groups meet on a regular basis and meetings are free to NYTECH members. Meeting notices are posted on our Events page. Our active SIGs are:
- Cloud Computing - led by Donn Morrill of TGP Associates, our Cloud Computing SIG deals with topics surrounding software-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service, virtualization and other technologies related to cloud computing.
- Legal - led by Paul Ellis of Scarola Ellis LLP, the Legal SIG addresses legal issues associated with forming, financing and operating small to mid-sized technology businesses.
- Financial - led by Mike Lopez of Amper, Politziner & Mattia, the Financial SIG engages in topics related to start-up financing, company growth, and regulatory issues on organizational finance.
- Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics - led by Jon Deutsch, President of the tri-state chapter of The Data Warehouse Institute, this group will explore topics on the application of BI and analytics from a business-focused, results-oriented perspective.
If you have interest in proposing a new special interest group, please contact us at info@nytech.org with your proposal.
